Hello, I'm Keith, and I founded autoSentia with a clear purpose: to help people feel confident and capable when facing new technology, especially something as transformative as AI.
For over 25 years, I've had the privilege of working alongside individuals and teams across various sectors – from classrooms and universities to corporate boardrooms, healthcare facilities, and growing businesses. My journey has always revolved around the same core idea: making complex things understandable and empowering people with practical skills they can actually use.
I've spent years teaching, training, and facilitating learning in diverse environments, helping people navigate everything from new software adoption to fundamental changes in their work methods. This experience has given me a deep understanding of *how* people learn, the common hurdles they face when adopting new tools, and crucially, how to build confidence and overcome resistance.
When large language models like ChatGPT and Gemini emerged, I immediately saw their immense potential to boost productivity and creativity. But I also recognised a familiar pattern: excitement mixed with confusion, sometimes fear, and often, staff weren't sure how to integrate these tools effectively or ethically into their daily tasks. That's where my passion and experience come together.
My belief is simple: AI should be a tool that empowers people, not replaces them. Effective AI adoption is about augmenting human skills, not just automating tasks.
My approach is grounded in solid educational principles (honed over decades and supported by qualifications like CIPD accreditation). It's about building two kinds of knowledge:
- Conceptual Understanding: What AI is, how it works (simply), what its strengths and limitations are, and the crucial ethical considerations. This builds context and confidence.
- Skills: Hands-on training in using specific tools and, most importantly, learning *how to ask* (prompting) effectively to get useful results for *your* job.
